4th of July 2008

Zach and I went with my mom to Wende's house for the 4th this year. We had a lot of fun! She lives on Lake Katherine and we went kayaking. Tom and Marian from Scotland were able to join us for the day and it was wonderful seeing them again. Mom, Wende, Sarah and I met them when we traveled to Europe last September. Tom is the Provost for Linlithgow Scotland. (That means he is the Mayor)

We watched Wende's neighbors have a competition for the best fireworks and we did a few of our own. It was a great day!

Wedding

We were married on April 5, 2008. We had our ceremony at Life Center in Tacoma and the reception followed at the Tacoma Yacht Club. We had about 200 guests and we had a great party! My best friend Jeanette was my maid of honor and my sisters Gretchen and Pami were my bridesmaids. Zach's best friend Dan was his Best Man and his friend Steve and my brother Craig were the groomsmen. My niece Audra and my Aunt Sarah were the flower girls and my nephews Colin and Zachary were the ring bearers.

The day was absolutely perfect! I couldn't have asked for anything more. With so many of our close friends and family joining us on that special day, we felt so blessed!

Honeymoon

Zach and I went on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise for our honeymoon. We had so much fun! We went para sailing, horseback riding, swimming with dolphins and snorkeling. We went to the Dominican Republic, St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin islands) and Tortola (British Virgin Islands).

We had a lot of fun and saw so many neat and wonderful things! When the cruise was over, we docked in Miami Florida and decided to spend an extra three days there. We went to the Miami Sea Aquarium and we went on a tour of this gorgeous old Spanish mansion. As a wedding gift, one of my sisters gave us standby tickets to come home from Florida (she works for Alaska Airlines). Unfortunately, at the same time that we were trying to come home, American Airlines was having some trouble with their flights. A lot of their flights were being cancelled, so they were placing their passengers on Alaska's flights. Because of this situation, Zach and I were not able to come home together. I flew home with all of our luggage on one day, Zach stayed overnight with only his jacket and a book and he flew home the next day. Talk about an adventure! And to make things even better, we forgot to pack our cell phone charger. I was unable to call him to make sure he was okay!

We both made it home safely though and we couldn't be happier!

Meaghan & Zach

Zach and I were married on April 5th, 2008. We met on-line with eHarmony.com. We both joined eHarmony as a joke, but we fell madly in love with each other! It was the best thing that we did. We met for the first time at my church, in Tacoma, in 2006. From the first time that we met to the day we were married, we only spent three weekends apart.
Zach is with tech support for Costco Headquarters and he is training for his CCVP with Cisco. I am currently a full-time student at Tacoma Community College. I am studying for my degree in Business and degree in Associated Arts & Sciences. After I graduate from TCC in March of 2009, I will begin my schooling for Interior Decorating. I would love to eventually start my own Organizational and Decorating Business.
We love to spend time together, watching movies, playing board games, spending time outdoors, etc. We love to go hiking and taking long walks along the Green River near our apartment.
